How many in a crowd? Assessing overcrowding measures in Australian housing

This study assess the measurement of overcrowding in Australia and explores relationships between various household density measures wellbeing occupants. Indicators incidence or severity crowding actually measure occupant density—the ratio occupants to available space—rather than crowding, which relates a psychological response sense excessive density. How is defined measured has important implications for funding requirements, appropriate mix housing stock given structures rules allocating families public community housing.
